Channels use the design of the website to access the content as well as the metadata (name, description, thumbnail, etc). Though it may look like the site has not changed and is still working properly, there are often constant changes being made to the back end of these websites. An update the website designer makes to the code for a web page or an error they may make in programming that page, can cause issues or completely break a Plex channel. Every attempt is made to design Plex channels in a way that will allow channels to work despite changes that may be made to a website, but it is impossible for the channel plugin designer to predict future changes the website designer may choose to make.
