You can create a list by uploading a CSV file. Plex will match each row to a movie or show in its catalog, let you review anything that couldn’t be matched (or matched more than one title), and then create the list.

Note: This system will only match to movies and shows that can be found at https://watch.plex.tv . It will not match episodes

Custom CSV formatting

If your list comes from somewhere else (a spreadsheet, another service, or something you’ve written yourself), save it as a CSV with a header row using any of the following columns. Column names aren’t case-sensitive, and the order doesn’t matter.

It’s recommended that you either provide an imdbID for an exact match, or at least title and year.

General rules

• .csv only, UTF-8 recommended; Windows and Mac/Linux line endings both work.
• File must be 2MB max.
• Max 1,000 items per list.
• Items keep the order they appear in the file.
• Rows matching one title are added automatically; rows matching several or none are shown for review before the list is created (pick one, search, or drop the row).

Importing

You can either import into a new list or an existing list at https://watch.plex.tv/watchlist/my-lists. Note that importing will only match things that can be searched for at watch.plex.tv

From an open existing list use the menu on the top right to choose Import List

Upload the file by either dropping your CSV file in the center of window or hit that area to browse for the file.

   

Processing the provided file

For unmatched items that have multiple possible matches or none are found there will be an opportunity to choose or search for a match. You can also choose to skip these items

Hit Confirm List to import the list.

If not already done,  give the list a Name, Description, set Privacy and Ordering, then hit Create List
