Tip!: If you're sharing a crash log to get assistance, please also include the "normal" Plex Home Theater.log file to go along with it.

In rare cases, Plex Home Theater may fail in such a way that the automatic crash handling itself fails. In such a situation, it's sometimes possible to have Windows still handle the crash information.

  1. Open the "RegEdit" program
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting
  3. Under Windows Error Reporting, create a new registry key named LocalDumps.

If Plex Home Theater crashes after this and the crash dump is not found in the above location, you may find a dump file under:

The dump file will be named something along the lines of Plex Home Theater.exe.5884.dmp.
