Tip!: Automatic lyrics from LyricFind require an active Plex Pass subscription for the Plex Media Server account.
When using a music library, Plex Pass subscribers can have lyrics (provided by LyricFind) automatically added for many tracks in your library. These can include both “timed” lyrics (so you can follow along with a song) as well as just plain lyrics. An internet connection is required in order to view these lyrics.

In order to have available lyrics automatically added for tracks in your music library:
- A Plex Pass subscription is required

How to Add LyricFind Lyrics
New Music Library
By default, lyrics from LyricFind will be gathered when you create a new music library when using a compatible Plex Media Server version. So you don’t need to do anything special!
Existing Music Library
Some users will have an existing music library that was created prior to the release of the 0.9.15.0 Plex Media Server version. You can get available lyrics for your library one of two ways:
- So long as you have the Refresh metadata periodically Scheduled Tasks option enabled, your server will slowly update your library over the course of a month to bring in the lyrics.
- If you’d like to grab everything immediately, you can do a Refresh All on the music library to update metadata all at once.

How to Access
When playing a track in a supported Plex app, if lyrics are available for that track, you’ll see a Lyrics button for it.
Clicking the button will expose the lyrics. If they’re “timed” lyrics, you’ll even see it highlighting the current line as the song progresses.
Other Plex apps will let you access and view the subtitles similarly.
