Our optional Remote Watch Pass subscription allows the associated Plex account to stream remotely from any Plex Media Server to which the account has access. The Remote Watch Pass is one of the ways available to allow remote streaming of video personal media.

How is Remote Watch Pass different from Plex Pass?
Like a Plex Pass subscription, having a Remote Watch Pass allows streaming remotely from any Plex Media Server to which you have access. But that is all it does. A Remote Watch Pass does not give access to any of the other features or benefits of a regular Plex Pass subscription.

Does my Remote Watch Pass extend to other accounts accessing my Plex Media Server?
Generally speaking, no. Our optional Remote Watch Pass subscription applies only to the specific account on which the subscription was started.
- If you’ve added Managed Accounts to your Plex Home, then it does apply when switched to those Managed Accounts in a player app.
- It does not extend or apply to other full Plex accounts to which you have granted access to your Plex Media Server.
One of the many benefits of a full Plex Pass (not Remote Watch Pass) subscription is that it allows streaming remotely for any Plex account accessing the server.
